Carol Lynch – Chief Executive

Having started out working life as a Civil Engineer herself, Carol is deeply committed to the Trust’s mission of helping more young people access the fantastic opportunities construction has to offer, particularly young people facing significant barriers into work and those groups who have traditionally been under-represented in the Industry. Carol sees her role as Chief Executive as holding on to the ‘big picture’ while keeping a constant eye on the detail of day-to-day delivery.

Carol's favourite building is the London Aquatics Centre.


Andy Garrett – Operations Manager

Andy is responsible for the day to day management of the Trust, including the implementation and delivery of the Trust’s training and education programmes in England. His background includes 25 years in relationship banking, leading teams that supported business, corporate and charitable clients. More recently, he was Head of Funds and Operations at a grant making organisation facilitating the work of voluntary, charitable and social enterprises with £2m of grants and loans each year.

Andy’s favourite building is the British Museum, London.


Tom Glover – Partnerships Manager

Tom leads on building the relationships that support the delivery of the Trust’s vision of a construction industry that drives social mobility and delivers significant social value by inspiring and enabling the diverse young talents of 21st Century Britain to overcome barriers and build better futures.

Tom's favourite building is the Natural History Museum, London.


Wendy Heller – Senior Programme Manager

Wendy brings a lifetime of experience working as a carpenter in the construction industry and teaching. Her passion is to inspire and inform the next generation whilst rejecting the misconception that the sector is for people lacking in academic aptitude.

Wendy's favourite building is the Chrysler Building, New York.


Pearl O'Keeffe – Senior Programme Manager

Pearl is an experienced teacher who has previously worked in the FE sector delivering construction courses and apprenticeship frameworks. Pearl is passionate about raising young people’s aspirations and awareness of careers within the construction industry.

Pearl's favourite building is Battersea Power Station, London.


Deavon Sinclair – Programme Manager

Deavon changed careers moving from the IT business world to the youth sector in 2010. A decision he would make in a heartbeat time and again. In terms of working with people and engagement style, Deavon’s approach is one of transparency, honesty and respect. 

Deavon’s favourite buildings are the pyramids of Chichen Itza, Mexico.


Naomi Ryan – Schools and FE Coordinator

Naomi holds a BA from Coventry University and is an experienced teacher who has previously taught in schools in the UK and abroad. She brings valuable experience to the team and is absolutely passionate about education.

Naomi’s favourite building is Prague Castle, Czech Republic.


Charlene Richardson – Schools Partnership Coordinator

Charlene’s passion to help young people improve their prospects in life led her to work for the Trust. She holds a BA in Education Studies from London Metropolitan University and has been working with children and young people for over 15 years.

Charlene’s favourite building is the Gherkin, London.


Donna Jones – Senior Programme Manager

Donna comes to the Trust from the University of Kent where she has been working on a project creating Higher and Degree Apprenticeships for the construction industry. She is driven by helping young people fulfil their potential and working with employers to raise awareness of construction and potentially provide career pathways.

Donna’s favourite building is the Royal Albert Hall, London.


Kaitlyn Majesky – Schools Partnership Coordinator

Kaitlyn has spent the past 5 years working in the employment and training sector with a wide range of youth including homeless and at-risk youth and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and learning disabilities. Kaitlyn is excited to begin working in the construction industry with the Construction Youth Trust.

Kaitlyn’s favourite building is the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) in Toronto, Canada.


Megan Valuks – Schools Partnership Coordinator

Megan approaches the Trust with a background in teaching in inner-city schools. She is passionate about education and ensuring young people have the opportunity to make informed decisions about their futures.

Megan’s favourite building is the Colosseum, Rome.


Becca Collins - Schools Partnership Coordinator

Becca joins the Trust after completing a BA (Hons) in English and American Literature from University of Kent. She is interested in overcoming social barriers and dissolving common myths about the construction industry. She is enthusiastic about the Trust’s mission to create social mobility for all young people regardless of their background.

Becca’s favourite building is The Palau de la Música, Barcelona.


Mark Heath – Administrator and Work Experience Coordinator

Before joining Construction Youth Trust, Mark initially started working in the charity sector with Haringey Mencap in 2005, where he campaigned and advocated for adults with learning disabilities for over 10 years. Upon leaving the organisation, Mark became a Trustee.

Mark joined Construction Youth Trust in May 2016 where he undertakes administrative, HR and payroll support, as well as coordinating work experience opportunities for the Trust's beneficiaries.

Mark's favourite building is Český Krumlov Castle, Czech Republic.


Henry Hunter – Content and Resources Coordinator

Henry has spent his career so far producing educational resources on a mixture of different subjects aimed at varying age groups. He is keen to apply what he has learned to the construction industry and the huge array of careers that are found within it.

Henry’s favourite building is the Sagrada Família, Barcelona.


Ellen Shields – Trusts and Foundations Coordinator

Ellen works part time with the Trust to develop and manage relationships with the charitable funders that help to make our work possible. She re-joined the Trust in 2017 having previously worked on the Schools & FE team, so really understands what our work is about and is passionate about securing funding to continue it.

Ellen’s favourite building is the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Santiago (Chile).


Emily Andrews – Programme Assistant

Emily assists in the smooth running and organisation of the different projects ran by the Trust. With a background in Law, she is passionate about mentoring and helping young people, ensuring they have the opportunities to be able to choose whichever career path they so desire. 

Emily’s favourite building is the Sydney Opera House, Australia.


Charlotte Higgins - Marketing and Communications Coordinator

Charlotte's determination to tell the stories that don't get told led her to work at the Trust. She believes that the broad range of opportunities available within the Construction and Built Environment need to be shared, and the many successes of the young people the Trust work with need to be celebrated. 

Charlotte's favourite building is Dalemain Estate, Cumbria.
